BNB Hack Bangkok Recap: Celebrating Innovation and Congratulating the Winners

The BNB Hack Bangkok, held from November 9-10, 2024, brought together over 300 registrations and over 100 passionate developers, builders, and blockchain enthusiasts attended to push the boundaries of innovation. Hosted at the bustling Ratchadaphisek district, this two-day offline hackathon provided an ideal platform for developers to collaborate, learn, and showcase their blockchain projects, each aimed at unlocking the immense potential of BNB Chain.

These sessions provided key insights into technical development, project funding, and advanced blockchain concepts to support projects as they developed.

Challenge Tracks and Prize Pool

With a prize pool totaling $230,000, participants competed across multiple challenge tracks, including:

• BNB Chain Challenge - Pioneering projects in Web3 integration with Telegram and supporting innovative DeFi and RWA assets on BNB Chain such as:
  • Make Telegram the Web3 gateway for BNB Chain,
  • Build an Innovative Trading Aggregator,
  • Building an Open-Source Real World Asset (RWA) Transaction Platform for Real Estate.
• Sponsor Challenge Track - Projects addressing challenges posed by our sponsors

The judges assessed each project based on technical innovation, roadmap, user experience, and more. Key contributors to the judging panel included industry experts from BNB Chain, World of Dypians, Seraph, and others from esteemed organizations like Oak Grove, SevenX, D11-Labs, Stanford Blockchain Accelerator, and SNZ.

Winners: Congratulations to the Top 3 Projects!

After evaluating 38 project submissions, and hosting demos from the top 8 teams with judges’ Q&A, we’re thrilled to announce the top 3 winners:

1. First place: opMatchopMatch is a Telegram-based matching app that integrates with BNB Chain, introducing a unique social experience to the blockchain ecosystem.
2. Second place: BNB Defi Aggregator A cross-chain DEX aggregator and strategy builder,  thie project simplifies the creation, execution, and sharing of cross-chain trading strategies, enhancing user accessibility and efficiency across blockchains.
3. Third place: MiroXThis decentralized asset management platform empowers users to have professional asset managers oversee their crypto assets. With a secure and intuitive interface, MiroX offers transparency and flexibility for crypto asset management.

The top 3 winners of BNB Hack Bangkok will have the exclusive opportunity to attend the BNB Incubation Alliance (BIA) Bangkok on November 13th, where they can pitch their projects to an audience of prominent venture capitalists, expanding their reach and potential for future growth. 

The BNB Chain Challenge offered a prize pool of $218,000, with an additional $12,000 allocated for the Sponsor Challenge Track. For the top placements, the first-place winner received $7,000 in USDT, a kickstart package valued at $100,000, a guaranteed interview for the MVB Program, BIA demo opportunities, and a month of technical support. The second and third place winners each received $3,000 in USDT, a kickstart package worth $50,000, BIA demo opportunities, and a month of technical support.

In addition to our top winners, we’re excited to highlight our Honorable Mentions, a group of exceptional projects that stood out for their innovation and dedication. These teams—Binance Guard, MemeLabs, Fios, Brick'NBlock, loyalty-platform-catering, Gold Beauty Telegram Bot, BNBgram, Chill-Ape, App-Cube, Chain Estate, Blinkbot, Silent Wars, and Metronwallet—met all our submission requirements and made a strong impression with their creative solutions. Each will share in a $5,000 prize pool as a mark of recognition for their achievements. Well done on the good work!

The excitement at DevCon 2024 in Bangkok is far from over, with upcoming events offering fantastic opportunities to engage with the BNB Chain community. The BNB Incubation Alliance (BIA) Bangkok, happening on November 13, is a highlight event for founders, developers, and investors eager to dive deep into the latest in blockchain innovation. This day-long event, hosted by BNB Chain and Binance Labs, features exclusive keynotes and panels from top industry leaders and investors, project demos showcasing cutting-edge Web3 technology, and a networking gala that celebrates growth and innovation. Attendees will get the chance to build strategic partnerships and explore opportunities for collaboration in a supportive environment. 

Additionally, the Road to BIA: Tuk Tuk Edition adds a fun, interactive twist, inviting attendees to join an exciting campaign both online and offline.
