Challenge Tracks

BNB Chain Challenge

  1. Make Telegram the Web3 gateway for BNB Chain

Objectives: Build a Telegram Mini App that allows users to seamlessly connect to the BNB Chain using their Telegram credentials, enabling secure and user-friendly access to decentralized applications and transactions without relying on external wallets.

Description: Make interacting with the BNB Chain as easy as sending a Telegram message, and design the tech that can persuade users to trust your app to deposit their assets.

  • Telegram Authentication:
    • Develop a secure and robust authentication flow using the Telegram API.
    • Ensure user privacy and data security by minimizing data collection and implementing best practices for key management.
  • BNB Chain Connection:
    • Enable seamless interaction with the BNB Chain, allowing users to view balances, send/receive tokens, and interact with dApps.
    • Abstract away the complexities of wallet management and private key storage.
  • Gasless Transactions:
    • Explore and implement solutions for gasless transactions, such as meta-transactions or account abstraction, to provide a smooth user experience.
    • Clearly communicate the mechanics of gasless transactions to users.
  • User Interface & Experience:
    • Design an intuitive and user-friendly interface within the Telegram Mini App framework.
    • Guide users through the authentication and transaction processes with clear instructions and helpful prompts.

  1. Build an Innovative Trading Aggregator

Objectives: The goal is to simplify the user experience on BNBChain by offering one-click bridging and trading capabilities. This will allow users to own and manage their assets across different chains while easily trading on BNBChain, ensuring the lowest fees, best prices, and additional services such as MEV protection. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance convenience and efficiency for all users within the BNBChain ecosystem.

Description: This trading aggregator will be expertly designed to streamline the trading experience by consolidating liquidity from multiple sources. By aggregating liquidity from various DEXs and perps, the trading aggregator ensures users get the best possible prices for their trades, minimizing slippage and price impact. Key features will include:

  • Aggregator for DEXs and Perps: Aggregates liquidity from numerous sources to offer the best price routes, token selection, and user interface/experience.
  • Cross-Chain Liquidity: Integrates with top cross-chain projects to provide the best prices and paths for different tokens and blockchains, ensuring that liquidity bridging into BNBChain can be traded easily with optimal prices and user experience.
  1. Building an Open-Source Real World Asset (RWA) Transaction Platform for Real Estate

Objectives:

  • Enhance Transparency: Develop a platform that reduces the risk of corruption and fraud by providing transparent and traceable transaction histories accessible to all stakeholders.
  • Increase Efficiency: Streamline the real estate transaction process, reducing the time and cost involved in buying, selling, and transferring property.
  • Support Innovative Ownership Models: Enable fractional ownership, programmable property rights, and other innovative ownership models to make real estate more accessible.

Description: The core of the platform should be built on the BNBChain network to ensure secure, tamper-proof records of all property transactions. By digitizing property rights, the platform will provide an immutable record of ownership that is accessible and verifiable by all relevant parties, including buyers, sellers, agents, and legal professionals. This digitization will also reduce the potential for fraud and streamline the title verification process. Transparency is a key goal, achieved by recording every transaction on the blockchain, which is publicly accessible and traceable. This level of transparency helps build trust among users and reduces the risk of corruption, as all actions are visible and cannot be altered retroactively.

If you don’t see what you’re interested in here, that’s okay. You can also participate by following this wishlist, and your project will automatically be submitted to the Q4 online hackathon.

🚨 An onsite demo presentation will be held on the final day for the top 10 teams (subject to change based on the total number of submissions). Participation in the demo is mandatory for all top teams. Failure to participate will result in disqualification from the competition and automatic elimination from contention for one of the top 3 spots.

Sponsors have set their own challenges, and developers can compete for rewards set by the sponsors.

You can refer to the full list of challenges here.

Submission Requirements

  • Projects must be new developments and not participate in any past hackathons or previously funded to ensure equal opportunity.
  • Work must be deployed on or connected to opBNB/BSC mainnet or testnet in some way, open source, and free for others to use.
  • Shared artifacts (GitHub, deck, and demo video).
  • Ensure the contract address has at least 2 successful transactions within the hackathon timeframe.
  • A tweet describing your project, tag #buildonBNBChain, and the specific challenge you are applying for!
  • If you have any questions, join us on our Discord hackathon support group.

When the hackathon is over, the teams will upload their finished products to this form for evaluation. Participants will be required to provide the following information:

  • Project Name
  • Brief Description
  • Country/Region
  • Technical Solution
  • Track Challenge
  • GitHub Repository URL, Presentation Deck, and Demo Video
  • Deployed Smart Contract Address
  • Deployed to Any Other Chain
  • Previous Hackathons

Judges will review all submissions and select the top 10 winners for the demo. The top 3 winners will be announced on November 10th, after the demo concludes. Teams can participate in as many relevant sponsor challenges as they wish.

Scoring Criteria

How to Improve Your Scores:

  • Verify Your Contracts: Ensure your contracts are verified on Explorer.
  • Open-Source Codes: Provide full open-source code with a reasonable commit history and mark your weekly milestones. This helps communities and judges recognize your innovation and contribution.
  • Roadmap: Present a detailed roadmap that outlines your plans to continue building after the hackathon.
  • Documentation: Create clear documentation or tutorials explaining your project's functionality and innovation to assist users in trying it out.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with communities or users by obtaining user feedback, showcasing community endorsements, etc.
  • Business Model: Develop a clear business model that demonstrates sustainable revenue generation.
  • Innovative Design: Highlight innovative product and technical design.
  • We encourage multi-dimensional innovation. As long as your project is novel, it will receive high scores from the judges. If you choose the "wishlist" challenge, please read our requirements in detail. Adhering closely to them will result in higher scores. Additionally, the submitted project should not have participated in other hackathons before.

Points Leading to Score Reduction:

  • Lack of Novelty Proof: Insufficient evidence to prove the project's novelty or contribution history.
  • Unrealized Functions: Failure to achieve the claimed functions or innovations.
  • Usability Issues: Difficulty for users or judges to use the project.
