Meme Challenge: BNB Chain Creators Assemble!

We’re officially launching our Content Creation Challenge for the incredible Advocates who are helping build the future of Web3.

This opportunity invites you to put your creative skills to the test and come up with the most engaging meme you can. Participants can look forward to a whopping $1,000 prize which will be split between THREE winners who will also have their work distributed among all of BNB Chain’s social channels. The winners will also be rewarded with a special Creator NFT that recognizes their skills.

We do have a little bit of guidance as to what your creation should loosely link to. It’ll certainly require you to put your thinking hat on, as we want you to ensure your meme links to BNB Chain in some way. This is intentionally vague to give you as much room to be creative as possible.

What Makes a Standout Meme?

Although we already know you have a broad skillset to draw from, BNB Chain wants to offer a little further guidance as to what may set your submission apart. We think any great meme worth its weight in pixels will satisfy the following criteria:

Wit Above Risk

While wit comes naturally to some, it can also be a sure fire way of engaging your viewer. Memes don’t take themselves so seriously, you’re often teetering a line between risky and funny, so tread well BNB fam!.

Beyond the fun and silliness, memes often tie back into more serious topics - and here we’re particularly thinking about Web3 education. The subject matter of your meme doesn’t need to be serious, but relating it back to one of the topics mentioned above will be key.

Utilize Latest Trends

Similar to how you often see established organizations riffing off of current social trends and imitating more serious topics, you will also play off of existing trends that are popular across the web and add your own unique spin to it. This can be known as Memejacking.

BNB Chain Awareness

The meme must relate to BNB Chain. We want to utilize your creative skills and humour in engaging more users about the capabilities of blockchain technology.

A PhD in Meme-ology

Make sure you check out some of the most engaging memes of our time. Take a look at the popular memes of the week to identify what resonates with today’s online culture, or better yet - navigate the far reaches of crypto Twitter and see what inspires you.

How to Participate

Participants can only submit one meme through this form. This decision was made to ensure the contest is fair - so pick your very best effort. Participants will also need to tweet their creations on their social media (can be Twitter, IG, tiktok, Reddit..) and tag BNB Chain’s relevant account with the following hashtags: #BNBChain #CreationChallenge.

Our dedicated judges, made up of the BNB Chain Content and Design teams, will pay particular attention to the following aspects of each submission:

• Theme: 40%
• Creativity: 40%
• Community: 20% (Total likes on the social media they publish)

In creating your submission we require you to prepare an image in .jpg or .jpeg format with a file size that should not exceed 5 MB. Please include the name of your creation within 15 words and briefly introduce your creation within 100 words which will include your tweet link.

Participants are required to submit their Entries between Dec. 1st and Dec. 15th 2022 (1PM UTC). The submission form will be only available during this period. The submissions will then be reviewed by our team in the week beginning on Dec. 15th before a winner is announced on Dec. 22nd.
