My DeFi Pet is a blockchain-based game that combines the elements of DeFi and Gaming and is a winner of the Most Valuable Builder II.

What is My DeFi Pet? Can you expand on your project to those unfamiliar with it?

My DeFi Pet is a blockchain game that combines the traditional game architecture and DeFi features to bring unique user experiences in DeFi and NFT collectibles. Players can collect, breed, evolve, and battle pets as well as trade pets and participate in season events to claim lucrative prizes. Pets’ stats growth and special abilities are influenced by bonus points obtained from your daily activities.

Being a project incubated by KardiaChain and developed by TopeBox, one of the top game development companies in Vietnam with over 100 Million global downloads, their growth is predicted to be incredible. This is clearly reflected in the statistics of only 1 month of the beta launch, including over 700,000 transactions, 22,000 active accounts, and over 460,000 pets in the BSC network.

Our mission is to allow everyone to play and earn with My DeFi Pet. The game does not only have a low entry barrier but it also provides an exciting gaming experience with a great storyline, pet personalization through your daily activity, and Augmented Reality.

When was the idea behind My DeFi Pet born, and what led to it?

The genres RPG and Autochess have attracted a large number of players globally. The in-game purchase has been one of the largest revenue streams for game developers. However, in-game items are centralized to specific games and trading for fiat incentives is mostly prohibited.

The DeFi and NFT movements started in 2020 with many great farms and DApps that revolutionized the blockchain landscape. Integrating DeFi and NFT into an RPG game would create a very unique experience for the players. Late 2020 was when the first concept of the My DeFi Pet game was developed. It is a blockchain game that combines the NFT collectibles, RPG with Autochess PVP mode, and DeFi applications. Players would be able to gain incentives by selling/trading good NFT pets and gaining tokens by participating in the DeFi features of the game.

Can you tell us more about your team's background and introduce the core members?

My DeFi Pet team consists mainly of gamers that have extensive experience as game developers, blockchain experts, and product managers.

TopeBox is one of the top game developers in Vietnam with over 100 million global downloads of its games. TopeBox core team members had many years of experience as Product Lead and Game Producer at Gameloft.

KardiaChain team, with expertise in blockchain, smart contracts, community, and listing, works together with TopeBox to incubate and grow My DeFi Pet.

What’s your current security strategy? Did you complete any audits?

What are the main advantages of My DeFi Pet for the user, compared to a similar project from GameFi?

My DeFi Pet is a blockchain game operating on the KardiaChain and Binance Smart Chain networks. Even though there are a number of NFT games in the markets, each game has its own unique selling points. My DeFi Pet differentiates itself from the market through the following:

• Low Entry Barrier: Users do not require to have extensive knowledge about blockchain to play the game. Also, it costs much less to start the game.
• Exciting In-game Features: My DeFi Pet brings in the best graphics for the pets that make users excited to play. The gameplay is very smooth with features that would keep users engaged for a long period of time. The game would have as many features as in traditional RPG games, including Story Mode, PVP Battle, Boss Raid, Tower, Seasons.
• In-game DeFi: Users would be able to stake/lend their pets with DPET tokens in the gameplay to gain various rewards.
• Personalization: The key in-game function that sets My DeFi Pets aside from competitors is its ability to personalize the pets to the player’s everyday activity. Our project allows for connecting health tracking apps and other apps for utilities or entertainment such as music or movie streams and the game itself. While the player engages in their lifestyle, the pets will earn EXP points and enhance them in a personalized way that matches the pet master’s lifestyle.

Why did you decide to build on Binance Smart Chain?

Binance Smart Chain has an amazing ecosystem with many great projects, farming, and other games built on the network. It is a great place to expand our ecosystem by collaborating with other projects in the network. Also, the BSC network has other advantages, such as fast transactions and low fees.

What are the next steps on your roadmap? Can you tell us what we can look forward to?

As the game grows more mature with new features included, we also plan to expand the user base to other regions. Many features will be introduced to the game, including but not limited to:

• DeFi
• Marketplace
• Staking and lending pets
• Play2Earn and In-game content
• Game battle balancing
• PVE Story Mode
• PVP Autochess Battle
• Boss Battle

We will also be expanding our ecosystem to partner with other gaming projects to create a metaverse where in-game NFT can be exchangeable and utilized in many games.
