The BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards

As BNB Chain’s 4th anniversary approaches, the community-driven blockchain ecosystem is gearing up to celebrate projects that have contributed to its growth by announcing the launch of the 4th Anniversary Ecosystem Catalyst Awards Selection.

Projects will be selected through a democratic and transparent voting mechanism, ensuring only the most deserving candidates are selected. Projects will be chosen by the BNB Chain community, allowing them to participate in this celebration of impact and innovation. Participating community members will also receive exclusive rewards. 

BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards

The BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards will recognize and honor projects that have contributed to the BNB Chain ecosystem. Awards are split into categories, with each segment highlighting excellence in different segments. The categories include Innovation Excellence, DeFi Excellence, Gaming Excellence, Infra Excellence, and Rising Star: 

Innovation Excellence 

This award recognizes projects that exemplify innovation across various fields, with no restrictions on specific categories. Whether in AI, opBNB, Greenfield technologies, Blockchain of Things (BoT), DeSoc, DePIN, DeSci, or the Meme space, these projects stand out for their revolutionary ideas and innovative solutions, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

DeFi Excellence

This category recognizes projects at the forefront of decentralized finance (DeFi), innovating and pushing boundaries to create novel financial solutions. It highlights advancements in trading bots, LSDFi, bridges, restaking, or categories like lending and swaps, showcasing how these projects are transforming the financial ecosystem.

Gaming Excellence

This category features projects that are shaping the future of interactive entertainment, gaming, and digital ownership. It also includes Metaverse, NFTs, SocialFi, Telegram games, and fully on-chain gaming experiences, which are paving the way for a new era of digital interaction and engagement.

Infra Excellence

This category showcases projects that contribute to the foundation and infrastructure of the BNB Chain ecosystem. These projects are vital in supporting the network's growth and stability, ensuring a robust environment for innovation and development.

Rising Star 

This category recognizes innovative newcomers making a significant impact on the BNB Chain ecosystem. It spotlights promising projects deployed in 2024 that have quickly gained traction, demonstrating exceptional potential and innovation.

Participating In The BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards 

Projects participating in the BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards must follow six simple steps. These steps ensure transparency, engagement, and a fair selection process. 

Project Nomination 

The nomination phase begins on August 11 and concludes on August 25. Projects can sign up by filling out this form. However, each project can only sign up for one category and award. To enter the nomination process for the BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards, projects must make a tweet explaining why they deserve the award using the hashtag #BNBChainCatalystAwards and tagging BNB Chain. 

Shortlisting 

This phase begins on August 26 and concludes on August 29. During the shortlisting phase, an expert panel reviews and shortlists six candidates for each award, ensuring that only the most deserving projects are selected for the next stage. 

Candidate Announcements 

The shortlisted projects will be announced on August 30. During this phase, projects and the BNB Chain community can also voice any disagreements. 

Community Voting 

The voting phase will take place between September 2 and September 9 and will bring community engagement into the spotlight. BAB token holders will vote through an on-chain voting process. 

Winner Announcement and AMA Session 

Winners will be announced on September 10. The top two projects by vote count in each category will be deemed victorious. AMA sessions with the winning projects will be held on September 19 and 26. 

How To Vote In The BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards 

BNB Chain community members wishing to vote must hold BAB Tokens and link their wallet address to the platform to be eligible to participate in the voting process. You can mint BAB tokens here.

Voting will be open for 8 days from 2 Sep to 9 Sep, and each community member will receive 9 votes daily. You can vote for a maximum of two projects in each category.

Voters can also receive up to 12 extra votes, which can be used across any 5 categories if they fulfill specific conditions. Each condition can only be redeemed once.

• Hold 3YA or 4YA NFTs: +1 vote
• Hold an opBNB Genesis NFT: +1 vote (Snapshot Time: 2 Sep, 12 PM UTC)
• Be a BNB Chain Martian or KOL: +1 vote
• Accumulated 10 transactions with any candidates: +2 votes
• Engage with 10 projects, each with at least one transaction.: +3 votes
• Accumulated 0.01 BNB transaction fee with Candidates: +4 votes

Those who have cast at least 44 votes are eligible to enter a raffle for exclusive rewards from participating projects. Details will be shared on September 12. 

Vote and Celebrate 4 Years of BNB Chain

The countdown to BNB Chain’s 4th anniversary is well and truly underway. The BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards are set to propel the ecosystem into a brighter future. Projects are encouraged to participate in the nomination phase by completing this form. BNB Chain will share more information about its 4th anniversary and the Ecosystem Catalyst Awards soon. Additionally,  the voting page is set to go live on DappBay on August 30.
